I am a product of the mid fifties, grew up in the Midwest and changed careers mid life. Having spent 35 years in the building trades, my hands and brain synapses are comfortable with tools. Pride in my work, attention to detail, and an honest work ethic equip me to meet the demands this craft requires. I would also like to confess and acknowledge whatever skill or work I produce I do so because of and for the Lord of the universe, Jesus. He alone can make stone malleable to me. But unlike other media, stone can also be an unforgiving task master. Ah, but the results of prayer, patience and technique are worth the reward.
At an early age Native People and culture captured my attention and imagination. These monumental busts are an expression of respect and admiration for the Native Nations who shaped early life in this land.
Ancient marble statues are still being found today. They adorned the hallowed halls of great palaces and defined powerful empires . My hand carved marble busts are designed to be exhibited in your great outdoors, or grand interior spaces, and represent a unique part of the American mystique. One day far into the future our world will be different, and when one of these busts are uncovered in an ancient ruin, the remnants of our palaces, what stories will they conjure to describe our culture? I would encourage you to own a piece of art made for the ages.
