Welcome! It is said among many native nations " a person does not truly die until the last person who remembers him passes away". These busts are hand carved true to life portrait sculptures of real native people. Each piece is an original, cut out of natural stone by hand. Carved in a scale suited to the outdoors, they look great in grand interior spaces as well. The smoke white solid natural marble is not without impurities which adds interest in very subtle ways you will come to appreciate. Set upon the beautiful black/charcoal marble pedestal I designed specifically for these busts, they reach to seven feet tall and make an impressive statement to all who look upon them. Each marble bust is about 30" wide X 30" tall (not including the feather) X 16" deep. The feather adds about 15" to the height. They weigh in the range of 400 lbs. I chose smoke white marble because of the fine nature of this stone which is perfect for both subtle and fine detail. The result is a superior life like sculpture which is intended to convey the strength and dignity of the individual represented rather than be usurped by the nature of the stone.
